Hello Youmzain holds off The Tin Man at Haydock
Hello Youmzain continued the trend of This Classic generation winning Group One sprints this Year.
Ten Sovereigns and Advertise – who both missed out on this occasion – have triumphed for the three-year-old branch in top-level contests this term, and also the lightly-raced Hello Youmzain added a second success.
Among three in the race to get Kevin Ryan, James Doyle has been satisfied to cut the running with Invincible Army.
Two furlongs out the group got a break on the field and after Hello Youmzain saw his big rival off, he simply wanted to hold any challengers appearing from the bunch.
Stablemate Brando and winner The Tin Man created bids, but it was stuck by the 9-2 co-favourite out well.
His best race of the season ran back while home flew .
Ryan stated:”We decided after Ascot that we would be patient as it’s not all about this season. These horses do not come around very often and although he was given a tentative entry in the Nunthorpe by us , this race was the strategy.
“He is such a kid and a big horse too. You shouldn’t want your life away, but he is going to mature and he’ll be a horse that is more powerful next calendar year. He is very exciting.
“He’ll have yet another run this year on Champions Day in Ascot and we’ll put him away for next season.
“I would not rule out bringing him back to five furlongs at a certain stage. He revealed today he’s loads of pace – Major Jumbo isn’t a slow horse he had him outside the steel in a furlong.”
The trainer went on to show that the fourth-placed Brando had burst a blood vessel, including:”He’s done it before and that he did it here.
“He went to the race amazing, so it’s unfortunate.”
James Fanshawe was proud of the performance of defending The Tin Man – and a rematch with Hi Youmzain in the Qipco British Champions Sprint looks to be about the cards.
Fanshawe explained:”First of all, the group has done a fantastic job to get him back. After his run at Newbury, I thought that could be the end of him he’s seven and because he was somewhat rigid behind.
“Everyone has been working hard to get him back to top form. Together with the performances this season, you can never be confident, but I knew he was in great shape.
“I am really pleased with himhe’s run very nicely and I hope we could have him in exactly the exact same type for Ascot (Champions Day).”
